繞道


馬可福音 1:35-39
「遇見了就對他說：『眾人都找你。』」 - 可 1:37

我居住的加拿大安大略省，在一月份有很多雪，下雪天的好處是修路工程減少了；但當天氣回暖時，我們便似乎立刻進入「繞道」的季節了。早上離家時，你計劃好走那一條路，因為你認為你熟識這些街道；可是，「繞道」的標誌一旦出現，你便要走它指示你的另一條路了。

那天早上，門徒醒來時發覺耶穌不在，我猜想他們也可能會有以上的感受，他們大概會像往常一樣計劃，與眾人同行並向耶穌學習怎樣與眾人交往。群眾已經開始聚集，他們盼望找到耶穌，請衪幫助他們。過了不久，估計人人都在尋找耶穌了。

然而，耶穌卻繞道到了另一個地方。祂知道如果你想幫助人，你一定先要祈求父神幫助你，叫你得到能力和好好裝備自己。衪知道衪需要找時間單獨與衪的父一起，祂需要重新得力和重新定向；衪也知道祂的使命不單是在當地的群眾身上，所以祂走遍那個地方，在其他城市的街道上到處行走。

今天你有沒有撥出時間與神一起、好讓你在衪面前重新得力和重新定向呢？衪有沒有指示你要繞道？

禱告

親愛的神，有時我們是如此忙碌，以致我們忘記了撥出時間與祢一起。求祢引導我們，把祢放在我們生命的首位；求祢保守我們繼續聽到祢的指示，又幫助我們願意繞道而行。奉耶穌名祈求，阿們。

36 西門和同伴追了他去，
37 遇見了就對他說：「眾人都找你。」
38 耶穌對他們說：「我們可以往別處去，到鄰近的鄉村，我也好在那裡傳道，因為我是為這事出來的。」
39 於是在加利利全地，進了會堂，傳道、趕鬼。

"When they found him, they exclaimed: 'Everyone is looking for you!'" — Mark 1:37

In Ontario, where I live, there is lots of snow in January. One advantage to the snow is that it limits road construction. When the weather turns warmer, it seems we move right into a “Detour” season. When you leave your house in the morning, you have a plan and you think you know the roads you’ll be taking. Then a “Detour” sign pops up and takes you a different way.

I wonder if that is how the disciples felt that morning when they woke up and Jesus wasn’t in the house. They were probably planning on another day of walking with people and learning from Jesus as he interacted with them. A crowd had begun to gather in hopes of finding Jesus and asking him to help. Before long, it seemed everyone was looking for Jesus.

But Jesus had taken a detour. He knew that if you want to help others, you must first be equipped and prepared with the help of the Father. He knew he needed time away to be with his Father. He needed to refresh and refocus. Jesus also knew that his mission extended beyond the local crowd, so he traveled throughout the region to the streets of other towns.

Have you taken time to be with God today, to be refreshed and refocused in his presence? Could he be pointing to a detour?

Prayer

Dear God, sometimes we are so busy that we forget to take time to be with you. Guide us to put you first in our lives. Keep us listening to your direction, and help us to be willing to take detours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
